PROFESSIONAL FOCUS

Lisa works with adults and older adults dealing with stress, anxiety and low mood, relationship struggles, experiences of grief and loss, dementia support & caregiver burnout, and navigating life transitions. She believes that you are the expert of your life and knows what works best for you.  Lisa can offer a different perspective, make suggestions, and help guide the conversation through a strength based lens that allows for the possibility of change. Her approach centers around the theme of resiliency and uses harm reduction strategies. She works primarily within a Solution Focused Therapy approach with elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness practices.

She is passionate about working with individuals and use a client centered approach by meeting folks where they are at in their journey.  Sometimes the journey makes us laugh or cry, and sometimes we do both!

WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT LISA...

I’m an avid reader, and believe in advocacy and supporting my kids to be resilient, independent, go getters – by starting a jewellery business making earrings that I wear proudly! I’m also really good at picking up their lost socks!
