PROFESSIONAL FOCUS
As a chiropractor, Dr. Fagen believes in finding and addressing the cause of her patients' issues, using a multifaceted treatment approach. She uses postural assessments to screen for asymmetries in the body, muscle testing to discover compensation patterns, laser therapy to promote healing in damaged tissues, and gentle adjustments to restore mobility, when indicated. She adapts each treatment to meet the needs of her patient, and has plenty of tools and tricks up her sleeve.
As a psychotherapist, Michelle uses gestalt therapy to help her clients navigate challenges in their lives. She has spent much time in the client's chair herself and knows first hand how empowering and life changing therapy can be. Michelle brings humour, empathy and creativity to her therapy work.
WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT MICHELLE...
Michelle knows back pain - and has a specific interest managing disc herniations, both her own and her patients'. When she's not being a chiropractor (or a chiropractic patient), or a psychotherapist (or a therapy client!) she is attempting to train her sheep-a-doodle puppy Phoebe, and her sons Oliver and Simon, and she notes that they all respond to treats and don't like taking baths. In the few spare minutes she has left, she enjoys travelling (most recently to Spain!), swimming (great for the back and mind!) and pilates.
