PROFESSIONAL FOCUS

Our body is the container for the self. It holds our everyday feelings, reactions and responses. It holds our history, our desires and our presence in the world. When we have not had our needs met, intruded by and affected by others and experiences in our life, we are changed. Part of a therapeutic process is feeling and understanding these disruptions and lackings, and coming closer to your essential self in creating a life that reflects you.

Dorit's specialties include:

  • Depression

  • Anxiety

  • Mood disorders

  • Stress

  • Post-traumatic stress and trauma

  • Eating disorders

  • Addictions

  • Chronic pain

  • Couples therapy

  • Body-centered therapy and expressive arts
