PROFESSIONAL FOCUS
Hi, I’m Aliza - a psychotherapist and registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. I personally know first-hand the strength and courage it takes to acknowledge that something in your life just isn't working and the need to reach out for help. I would be honoured to be a part of your journey to self-discovery, conscious change, and healing. I am dedicated to providing a safe space in which you can attain a deeper awareness of who you are, what you want, and the barriers holding you back from living your fullest life. Every person is unique, and I tailor my approach to suit your goals and needs. My years of experience has introduced me to clients and their families, experiencing highly diverse struggles including trauma, depression, anxiety, personality disorders, substance abuse, life stressors, school/work issues, and more. I use a variety of therapeutic approaches in my work, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, Strength-based, Attachment Theory, and Psychosocial Rehabilitation. I look forward to connecting with you. Please feel free to reach out for a free 20-minute consultation :)
WHAT YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME…
Outside of my professional practice, I'm an avid learner, always seeking new knowledge through trainings and books. I find joy in traveling, immersing myself in nature, and practicing mindfulness. Staying active with hikes, the gym, and my new hobby (pickleball) keeps me energized, and quality time with my daughter is my greatest happiness. These passions fuel my approach to therapy, guiding me in providing holistic support for my clients' well-being.
